Descendants of African Families in America, Inc. is a non-profit organization that was founded in Selma, Alabama by Marrcus and Luellehj Darshanon in April 1983. The main purpose of the organization to encourage and assist with preserving family heritage and genealogical research and help families learn how to make their family life better. We also provide seminars and classes on genealogy and family life. It is our belief that families need to be united and armed with knowledge of their ancestry and heritage in order to progress and make our world a better place to live. We truly are one human family.
